ARMOR

one shot. one target.

What is ARMOR?
What is ARMOR?
ARMOR is a tactical-level system that provides ballistic calculations for tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, towed and self-propelled artillery, mortars, MLRS, AA-artillery, grenade launchers, machine guns and other group infantry weapons.

For Whom

For artillery, mechanized, and air defense units equipped with weapons of various types.
  • Expanding the possibilities of using existing weapons and increasing their effectiveness
  • Saving lives of the personnel by reducing the time spent on the position and elimination of the need for combat operations in the enemy's line of sight
  • Saving ammunition by hitting the target with 1-3 shots and reducing the number of adjustments
  • Increasing the service life of weapons
  • Reducing the number of personnel involved
  • Speed of training and ease of mastering the system
For manufacturers and suppliers of weapons (guns, tanks, mortars, grenade launchers, robotic turrets, etc.)
  • Ensuring the accuracy of firing on target coordinates without additional adjustments and out of the enemy's line of sight
  • Increasing the competitiveness among similar weapons
  • Expanding the capabilities of the weapon
  • Ability to integrate the firearm into the military unit's fire control system
  • Ability to automate and digitalize the processes of preparation and firing itself
ARMOR provides you the ability to engage enemy targets quickly, accurately, safely, and with significant ammunition savings

Key differentiators

Individual calculation of simultaneous ballistic calculations for each weapon system instead of using the "main gun" method"
Simultaneous calculations for one target for different types of weapons systems and ammunition
Unique algorithms instead of typical automation of calculations
Geodetic method of reference instead of less accurate magnetic azimuth
Simple, fast and accurate retreival of meteorological data for the calculations
Target hit within 1-3 rounds, zeroing with 1-2 shots
Integration of weapons and ammunition samples from the USSR and NATO arsenals
Full cycle delivery model
60
firearms and 100+ types of ammunition
30 5-7 min
reduction of time to hit targets
5-10times
less ammunition needed

Point weapon and fire
The use of ARMOR significantly expands the capabilities of the existing weapons and allows for hitting enemy targets that are not visible but are located within the shooting range of the firearm. Even for those types of weapons for which this method of use was not originally intended.
The functionality of the mobile application allows you to assess the possibility of hitting a target with a particular type of weapon, taking into account its technical characteristics and factors affecting the trajectory of the projectile. The app also provides for the possibility of obtaining the updated calculations based on fire adjustment.

".... The program provides high accuracy of topographic reference and orientation without the use of a bussol, which allows for the effective use of firepower as “roving” weapons. It also allows for advance orientation of firing positions (both main and backup), which significantly reduces the time from group departure to the first shot of the fire support group."
"....The application of the program has increased the accuracy of fire and significantly reduced the consumption of ammunition to hit targets. ....The common targets are individual small-sized targets (internal combustion engine, dugout, machine gun or shooter in a trench), and mobile fire support groups deployed to suppress enemy firing points."
".... The consumption of the ammunition for destroying concealed small targets with the help of ARMOR is as follows:
SPG-9 - 1-2 shots
AGS-17 - 10-15 shots
2B9 - up to 8 shots
BM-37 - up to 5 shots."
"....ARMOR is easy to learn. In most cases, 2-4 hours within 2 days are enough to fully master the program.".

Reviews

An interesting solution in the software is that the gun does not have to be given the main direction of fire when occupying a firing position, which reduces the time to aim at the target by an average of 40-50 seconds, and the interface is as simple as possible, minimizing the possibility of mistakes, especially at the initial stages of use.
I like the implementation of the interface with two rows of cards for goals and firing positions, as well as the pop-up menu of functions. All values are at your fingertips, a minimum of touches, a quick transition between goals and recalculation.
The positive aspects include the advancement of the capabilities of “infantry weapons” and the use of interesting ideas: the installation of MR-3 sights on MK-19, firing from concealed firing positions from BMP-1, S-60, ZU-23, BTR-80, BTR-3DA, which were previously used for these purposes only in theory.
